The Astronaut’s Birthday

Last couple of days of The Astronaut’s Birthday at the MCA! 10in x 10in pieces of art work projected by overhead projectors to 18 square windows of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Its refreshing and very inspiring to see an all hand made live performance done so well.

from Costa Rica and our one day in Mexico City. It was fun using a film camera to document stuff. Everything looks better through my old school camera. Know of any good places in Chicago where I can get my film developed?

Art Institute Chicago – The Modern Wing

With Selin in town I finally got a chance to see the new Modern Wing at Art Institute Chicago. Most pictures below were taken my sister Derya.

The collections on display aside, there are two things I really like about museums; the museum shops and the museum architecture.

Prairie Avenue Bookshop of Chicago is closing down so all their books are %60 off! I just spent an hour browsing through and got myself 4 books for $30!

Less is more was written on a t-shirt that my dad used to wear, one that my sister got him from Chicago. I had no idea about what it meant at the time. The phrase signifies what the past four years have done to me.
